Leah has been practicing yoga for about 15 years She was certified as an instructor in 2016, and currently holds an E-RYT 200, YACEP certification.
She believes in the importance of making yoga accessible to all and feels that the focus of yoga should be on calming the mind and listening to the body. Her classes are designed to build strength and flexibility and promote calmness and relaxation. She teaches all styles of yoga,
but gravitates towards Hatha, Gentle, and Yin.
Leah relocated to Tucson in 2008, from Seattle, Washington. She is a former elementary school teacher.
Elizabeth and her husband are originally from Chicago, Illinois and moved to Tucson 6 years ago.
When Elizabeth is not practicing yoga, she can be found on a hiking trail or sailboating.
Elizabeth loves to make people smile and is continually focused on expanding her yoga practice by integrating fun, laughter, kindness and music along with connecting to mind, body and spirit.
We are humbled by the quality of teachers willing to share their classes with students at F.I.T. Yoga. We have a variety of teachers and styles, and honored to be somewhere these instructors call home.
Alyssa has been teaching both yoga and Mat Pilates for nearly seven years. “I love connecting people to their bodies.” She says. And the styles of yoga she teaches reflect just that. Her specialties are Yin yoga and foundational flow yoga classes. “Keeping a class both challenging but safe and fun for everyone, beginner and advanced yogi alike, is part of what makes teaching exciting.” On her days off, if she’s not at the gym, she can be found lounging around a pool with a good book and a sparkly drink.
Susan began practicing yoga in 2006 while living on Orcas Island in Washington state. Her love of the challenging, core-strengthening practice insprired her to attend Forrest Yoga Teacher Training in 2011. She attended a second Vinyasa Flow training in 2014 and is a certified 200RYT. She has been teaching ever since and enjoys bringing both styles of yoga into her classes.
When not on the mat, Susan enjoys hiking, hanging with her 3 rescued dogs, partner and friends, dancing and inspiring others to share her passion for plant based eating.
